Thousands of APC supporters, including top Makeni City Council, Bombali District officials, and the Northeast regional party stalwarts, turned out on Friday 14/03/25 to welcome the APC ace flag bearer aspirant, Dr Ibrahim Bangura. Bangura was meeting party leaders at the APC northern regional party office (constituency 033, ward 110) as part of his northeastern Ramadan iftar exercise. This follows highly acclaimed visits with the same purpose to Koinadugu and Falaba Districts on Thursday.

Dr. Bangura praised the party leadership across all levels in the northern for the warm welcome accorded to him, and emphasised on party unity, peace and love for one another. He said that he brought love for all and sundry in the party, in addition to the little iftar support he had brought to share with them during this Holy month of Ramadan. He pointed out that the party’s founders were deliberate in the choice of its name, adding that the acronym ‘APC’ stands for the “All Peoples Congress” and not “Some People Congress.”
Dr. Bangura noted that it is therefore imperative for the APC to open its arms and embrace everyone irrespective of their backgrounds. The peace and conflict resolution expert he is, Bangura underscored the importance of healing the wounds, uniting the party, and building bridges as the only guaranteed route to an APC victory in the next general elections.
