Net-Page SL Has No Royalty Obligations to Government- Says Jammel Shallop
After going through all investigations, it has been concluded that Net-Page SL Ltd, after presenting all authentic and relevant documents, does not have to pay Royalty to the government of Sierra Leone.
The 2022 Auditor General’s Report states that “Netpage Sierra Leone Limited owes an outstanding royalty of $429,627.”
“That amount was to be paid to the government of Sierra Leone for e-passports produced in 2022,” said Shallop.
According to findings in the documents, Net-Page Sierra Leone’s contract that was ratified in Parliament made no reference to royalty payment.
In setting the records straight, Netpage has written to the Acting Auditor General of Audit Service Sierra Leone to ascertain the issue of alleged unpaid royalty to the government of Sierra Leone with a copy of a letter that was written by the Financial Secretary, dated 29th May, 2023.
