~ Sierra Leone ~
In the land of vibrant colours, where tribal politics reign,
Corruption spreads its poison, causing endless pain.
Leaders fail their people, blinded by greed,
While Mama Salone weeps, her heart in need.
Across the board, the rot runs deep,
Inconsistent religious leaders, their promises to keep.
Words empty, actions hollow, faith betrayed,
Mama Salone’s tears fall, as hope begins to fade.
From the hills to the shores, her children suffer,
Caught in a web of deceit, their dreams buffer.
Broken promises echo through the night,
Mama Salone cries, her soul in plight.
But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light,
As voices rise in unity, ready to fight.
To cleanse the wounds, to heal the scars,
Mama Salone’s strength shines like stars.
So let us stand together, hand in hand,
To rebuild, to restore, to reclaim the land.
O God, guide us through this plight,
Illuminate our path with your light.
May Mama Salone rise anew,
With hearts and minds pure and true
For Mama Salone, for her children’s cries,
May hope and justice reign, reaching the skies.
