NASSIT Aims More Success

It is an open secret that the Board, Management and Staff of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) are well poised and vigilant to take the institution to the most envious level it would find itself when it officially launches the Informal Sector Scheme after it would have been passed into law.
All of this wonderful projections and accomplishments But that is no more under the auspices of NASSIT could not have been possible without the efforts of the dynamic Director General, Mohamed Fuuad Daboh and his professional, loyal and dedicated team kf directors, managers and staff.
NASSIT is the only functional social security system which formidably engenders a bond between government and citizens, and over the years, it has warmed itself to the citizenry in every nook and cranny of Sierra Leone.
Through its mutual care for the people of Sierra Leone,, NASSIT is promoting political stability, patriotism, long life and personal happiness of contributors and employers.
In other words, security of life, affordable shelter, access to food, guarantee of a minimum living wage, care of dependents and Senior citizens (the aged), unemployment benefits and welfare for the disadvantaged are all included at the core of government affairs and this is where and why the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), headed by Mohamed Fuuad Daboh as Director General was established some twenty-odd years ago.
And thanks to the selfless efforts of the hard working DG and his team, it is no gain saying that, NASSIT’s presence us felt practically and literally in every part of Sierra Leone.
At the end of the day, what NASSIT wants is for all persons ordinarily resident in the country to have the financial protection to access a nationally defined set of essential services, enjoy income security at least at a nationally defined minimum level through family/child benefits in cash or in kind aimed at facilitating access to education and care; in addition to all persons in old age ordinarily resident in the country enjoy income security at a nationally defined minimum level through benefit in cash and/or kind; and all persons in active age groups ordinarily resident in the country who are unable to earn sufficient income enjoy minimum income security through social assistance other social transfer in cash.
