NASSIT Accelerates Service Delivery

The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), under the visionary leadership of Director General Mohamed Fuad Daboh, recently hosted a cocktail evening aimed at fostering deeper collaboration with Sierra Leone’s media professionals. The event served as a platform to acknowledge the vital role of the media in the country’s political and socio-economic development and to reinforce NASSIT’s commitment to transparency and partnership.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome to distinguished guests, including members of the press, the Board of Trustees, and NASSIT staff. The Chairman of the occasion, in his address, highlighted the critical interplay between NASSIT and the media in promoting a well-informed citizenry and a more transparent society.

“The press, as the Fourth Estate, plays an invaluable role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and a continuous flow of information to the public,” the Chairman remarked. “As stakeholders in this democratic society, we share a common mission: to serve the people of Sierra Leone. NASSIT, with its dedication to safeguarding the social and economic well-being of our people, is an essential partner in this endeavour.”

The Director General, Mohamed Fuad Daboh, echoed similar sentiments in his opening remarks. He expressed his deep appreciation for the media’s contributions and underscored the importance of aligning media efforts with NASSIT’s legal framework, specifically the NASSIT Act No. 5 of 2001. He emphasized the need for collaboration to ensure that Sierra Leoneans fully understand and benefit from the institution’s services.
